About the HP-12C
The Hewlett-Packard HP-12C, released in 1981 as the financial model of the legendary Voyager series, is the longest-lived calculator HP has ever made — and it is still in production today. Time value of money, amortization, discounted cash-flow analysis, bonds and depreciation, all driven by RPN in a slim, horizontal shirt-pocket form factor, made it the standard on trading floors, in banks, and in real-estate offices around the world.
MY12C preserves this legacy through microcode-level emulation — not by approximating what the HP-12C did, but by running the same microcode that powered the original Nut processor. The result is an emulator that is indistinguishable from the real hardware.
